After reading five of Attila Jozsef's poems over the weekend ("A Tired Man", "Conjuring the Lion", "To Sit…", "A Fine Summer Evening" & "With Pure Heart"), I asked my CN students to create soundtrack lists - a) choosing 1 poem and finding 5 songs that would be a match OR b) picking 1 song for each of the 5 poems. I asked them to think about songs that would match the poems for any reason they felt was relevant. I also asked them to write down a sentence about why they picked that one song for that one poem. I am sharing the most detailed explanations here, so that the Hungarian students can comment on these choices too.
