Poem ideas:
Begin with "I am" and introduce yourself to the reader. Maybe describe what you "have had" or have not in your life.
Begin with "I am" and describe who you were, are now, and will be in the future.

I am straight and not infidel
I just keep calm and confident
I surely love things you don't do
I'm not a hipster but it is true.

I have faith without religion
I live in the capital region
Seventeen I've had so far
But I don't walk in the dark.

I challenged Satan for a dice
I can't say that he was nice
He took my soul, but I've freed it
It's something that's always needed.

If I'm gonna take steps further
I will get away with murder
I will give my time to create
To in the end just take a break.

I like the rhyming to this poem. I think you did a great job with. It was very similar to the original poem, which I like.
