“Sad Willow Tree”

Dark, droopy branches on a sad willow tree
carving the formation identifying smickery.
Grass and weeds cover the face of the Earth,
weeds that continue and grow since the day of birth.
Darkness of the sky is like a thick blanket pressed over me,
getting tighter and closer, getting harder to see.
The airy sound of silence and the animals coming awake.
Lord, please Lord, hurry up the morning break.
Ahh, how I miss the beautiful gleaming sun,
Giving me peace and relaxation so now my stress and fear is all gone.
The cotton candy clouds so soft and innocent, fill the sky like a sleeping
Infant. River beds that once was helpful for feeding the mouths of
Families with fish full. But then I realized that the peaceful harmony was
Just a faint memory, and all there is is a dard, droopy, sad willow tree.

“A Fine Summer Afternoon”

After a snap at noon,
It comes a fine summer afternoon,
Lying on chair in the garden,
Drinking a cup of tea,
Listening to the beautiful music,
That’s common life in my city.
Walking along in the park,
Enjoying sunshine by sitting on the lawn,
Feeling cool under the shade,
That’s a fine summer afternoon.
Being with my whole family,
Shopping in the downtown street,
Having some drinks in the coffeeshop,
That’s a relaxing summer afternoon.

“A Cold Winter’s Night”

Snowflakes litter the ground
like powdered sugar.
The homeless scurry like rats, to find any warmth.
Sidewalks are slick with black ice.
People with coats are blessed
to have a sliver of warmth.
Tires skid across the slip ‘n slide streets.
Dogs barking with certain uneasiness.
Neighbors at each other’s throats over territory.
Fragile snowflakes melting like butter, on people’s faces.
As these fragile souls fill with fright,
I freeze here on a cold winter’s night.

“A Fine Winter Night”

She was left alone
Parents were gone for the week
Hoping no trust would be blown
Hearing her friend make a loud shriek.

The night seemed to be starting out quite swell
But soon enough things started to dwell
As I walked upstairs, things not looking so well
I saw my friend lying there looking like she was going to hell.

From there things went downhill
All of this making us so ill.
Everyone crying, making me chill
Everything was so wrong, we could only hope for God’s will.

Sirens blaring everywhere
We were all in complete scare
Hoping the lord would hear our prayer
And all the stress would fade in the air.

“A Memorable Summer”

looking back at summer
what a bummer, summer is over
oh how the sun beat down on me
with the welcomed sand under my toes

laughing with friends, feeling carefree
last minute trips to who-knows where
feeling the wind in my hair
feeling loved at BBQs with the family

lying under the sea of stars
late nights that turn to dawn
colors of the sunrise light up the sky
everyone in flip-flops, tank tops and sunburns

the calming beauty of summer
I belong with you
when can you come again?
how the memories will stick with me

“The Days Get Longer”

Give me my shoe or I will kick you.

As the days get longer
We all wait to see
We all get stronger

School is like prison
In which we all wish to break free
In summer we have all arisen
And a good time will be guaranteed

The days of solitude soak in my soul
As days of imprisonment creep to be
But we enjoy the ride in full
When summer comes to its demise friendships are set free.

Give me my shoe or I will kick you
